Introducing Our Savory Stacked Tex-Mex Ribs & Elote

When it comes to food, Uncle Julio’s is all about quality. But it’s not just the dishes that make this restaurant special – it’s the whole experience. The atmosphere is one that you can’t find just anywhere. From the moment you walk through the doors, the sights, smells and sounds will transport you to a world of Mexican culture.
Our staff continues to learn and find new ways to enhance this experience, like creating unique dishes and flavors. Which means that every so often you may find something new and exciting on our menu. Starting January 6, we are adding a plate that is more than a meal, but a dining experience itself: Stacked Tex-Mex Ribs with a traditional Mexican street corn side (also called Elote).
The Newest Dine-In Experience
This savory new meal includes an 8-rib rack, rubbed with our delicious homemade brown sugar and spice blend, and mesquite-grilled for up to four hours. The low and slow smoking process gives the ribs an intense smoky flavor while making them extremely tender. What makes this plate an experience is the addition of the Elote on top of the ribs and a side of jalapeño slaw. The skewered corn is kissed to our grill to have that same smokey flavor and is brushed with our scratch-made sauce and cotija cheese. The Elote comes as a topper and as an appetizer.
The authentic taste of Mexican street corn adds immensely to this meal and compliments the ribs perfectly. And, for a limited time for menu testing at our Grapevine location, you can try a sweeter addition to this rib rack – a cotton candy topper that enhances the sugary-spice blend glaze of the ribs. Our goal is to bring our guests a unique dining experience that transports them to a world of Mexican culture and cuisine. We’re confident that this new dish will do just that!
No Better Time to Try
Our smoked Stacked Tex-Mex Ribs will be available for a limited time as a dine-in only menu item, beginning January 6 between Friday and Sunday at our Dallas/Fort Worth area locations. With the lively atmosphere, scrumptious meal, and traditional Mexican street corn, there’s no better time to try Uncle Julio’s than right now. If you happen to be out of range of our DFW locations, we hope to officially bring this meal to our menus in Summer 2023 and share the experience with you soon.
